Privacy Policy

Tracc helps you keep track of your things, find them when you need them, and share them with the people you choose. A record of what you own is personal, so this page explains plainly what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to have it removed.

What we collect

• Your account. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo.
• What you put in. Items, containers, quantities, notes, custom fields, and the photos and files you upload.
• Sharing. The organizations and teams you belong to, the collections shared with those teams, and the email addresses of people you invite.
• Comments. Comments you leave on items, shown with your name and profile photo, and the notifications they create.
• Usage. We use Firebase Analytics, which collects basic device and browser information and the pages you visit, to understand how Tracc is used.

How we use it

To run Tracc: signing you in, storing and showing your inventory, letting the people you share with see it, and answering requests from AI assistants you choose to connect. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

AI processing

Photos you add to items may be analyzed by Google’s Gemini models, through Google Cloud Vertex AI, to suggest a description and read visible text such as labels and part numbers.

If you connect an AI assistant to Tracc, for example over MCP at mcp.tracc.app, that assistant can read and change your organization’s inventory with the access you grant it. What the assistant’s provider does with that data is covered by their privacy policy, not this one. You can revoke an assistant’s access at any time from Tracc’s settings.

Who can see your data

Everyone in an organization can see and change all of that organization’s inventory. Organization owners decide who is invited and can remove members.

Owners can also share a collection, a group of items they choose, with a team. A team can include people outside the organization. They see only what’s shared with their team, at the level the owner picks:

• View: the items, their photos and details.
• Find: everything in View, plus where each item is stored and how many are there.
• Edit: everything in Find, plus changing item details, photos and quantities.

Comments on an item, with the name and photo of the person who wrote them, can be read by everyone who can see the item, including people it’s shared with. Members of the organization are notified of new comments.

When an owner stops sharing a collection, removes someone from a team, or takes an item out of a shared collection, that access ends within a few seconds. A link to a photo that someone has already opened may keep working.

We don’t share your data with anyone else except the service providers that run Tracc, described below.

Where it’s stored

Tracc runs on Google Cloud and Firebase. Your account, inventory, and uploads are stored with Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and the data you’ve added, email hello@tracc.app from the address you sign in with. Leaving or being removed from an organization ends your access to its inventory, and leaving or being removed from a team ends your access to what was shared with it.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
